That makes a lot of sense. Getting inside McCain's strange brain, it is very plausible that he saw this first debate at the pivotal moment that would finally going to vault him ahead of Obama for good, what with him being a POW and all. I agree with Cenk that McCain was wrong about this, but I also believe that's exactly how he would think.
