SARAH PALIN: I think our presence in Iraq and in Afghanistan will lead to further security of our nation. Again, because the mission is to take the fight over there, do not let them come over here and attempt again what they accomplished here. And that was some destruction. Terrible destruction on that day. But, since September 11th, Americans uniting and rebuilding and committing to never letting that happen again.

8. I don't think this is a "gotcha"

since Bin Laden & Al Queda were in Afghanistan, her repetition of the rote party line can be interpreted as "true", since "do not let them come over here and attempt again what they accomplished here" can be referring to Bin Laden's operatives (not Iraqis). (Which is all another can of worms).

It's better to concentrate on the more certain and over-the-top things to nail her on (like her cultish church and the video of her participation in being blessed to protect her from "witchcraft".
