3. Letterman thinks he's more important than the nightly news?
I'm surprised one studio could hold both those Egos.

4. It's not that, it's that McCain lied to him
and lied to the country for political purposes. Which is something he does easily and often nowadays.

7. One of McCain's surrogates said today that McCain likes Leno better
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 06:04 PM by Mabus
He was on MSNBC talking to Noron today. It was discussed here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x4088628

It was a stupid thing to say since, as several posters pointed out, McCain used the Letterman show to announce his candidacy. D'oh. Foot meet mouth

8. Keep up the good work McLame's surrogates!
And McLame, too, of course! I'm liking the way your "suspended" campaign is going......

10. It is a delight to watch two . . .
intelligent and humorous men. Much more fun than watching McLame. I can't believe there are people out there planning on voting for McLame. His whole campaign is like a circus full of clowns. It is so obvious what he is doing, he's ducking out because he's dropped another five points in the polls. He is grandstanding. He is doing anything to take the attention off just how much he is involved in the bad news of the day. Is this country that full of idiots that they can't see what is right in their face? The man is grasping at straws all over the place. Obama is steady. Or maybe I should ask if this country is that full of racists? What a sick and disgusting country this is if people aren't voting for Obama because of his skin color.

11. The real funny thing is: both Obama and Clinton took issues seriously but themselves lightly w/Dave
McCain's camp is saying, this is no time for "comedy" but both Obama and Clinton were using the chance to let a national audience hear some real information. Clinton to a lesser degree. Gawd. Will he ever get that chip off?

But McCain could have come on Letterman and appealed for his ideal solution and a bi-partisan co-operation without having to get jet lagged to do it. A man of his health should consider such things.

13. omg, I lost it when KO talked about
how many hours it would have taken McCain to prep for the show: "... a briefing, sit down, have lunch (with Dave), THEN A NAP...""

Thanks, Wetzelbill, for posting the entire segment. Sheer delight!

:applause:
