Apologies if this is a dupe, I searched and did not see it on DU. So here it is, for those who want the full context.

3. Much appreciated!! I'm on CET, and had no chance of seeing it live
I found the whole thing pretty predictable, but McCain was positively robotic.
I practically predicted his whole dialogue before he said it. His insistence
on distorting Obama's record again and again gave me the impression that he
was rehearsed until he said what he was told in his sleep, and had no flexibility
as to being called when he stated something that was patently untrue.

McCain's whole argument was basically the following: I was in Vietnam, I know
everybody, and I am "experienced." He never was able to overcome the notion that
he has not been enough of the solution, and that he has been too much of the
problem for too long. McCain "reaching across the aisle" to Joe Lieberman is like
using a different color towel after showering: it's not like you've made a major
breakthrough in hygiene.

Geez; I must have missed the Fox News report about McCain neglecting to wear a Flag Pin; but I haven't seen such a news report anywhere; ......? Nary a word.
