When I watched the SNL skit, I wondered if Tina Fey had used her words verbatim, lol.

People will not vote for the McCain ticket if they realize Palin is rididulous.

32. Sarah Palin walked by a Thai restaurant
when she was in New York. She didn't go in, but she walked by it. Now she's an expert on Southeast Asia. Her foreign policy capabilities just keep growing!

29. And that is why we must mock her back to Alaska
Tina Fey's first portrayal a couple of weeks ago helped start the slide for Palin and this is helping it right along.

21. I heard they were trying to pay Tina Fey to do it
They figure few will be able to tell the difference in appearance, and Ms. Fey has a better grasp on foreign policy and economic issues. Their only concern is she won't be able to tout Alaska's proximity to Russia with a straight face.

5. She's a dipshit.
I cannot believe how she flubbed that question. I saw the clip with Katie Couric asking, and the expression on Katie's face could only be described as "Huh?"

41. Couric showed a fascinating series of micro-expressions.
By micro-expressions, I mean "fleeting, barely discernible flickers of emotion seen on someone's face." Couric sublimated her WTF Reflex by blinking a lot, but if you look carefully you can see the disdain.

I feel completely comfortable stating right here and now that Katie Couric would be 50 times better as VP than Palin. She's smart, educated, and articulate. She knows what's been happening around the world. She has self-control. Palin is a pathetic buffoon by comparison.

23. Same words
SNL did not even have to write a script, they just used Palin's own words.

The skit is hilarious, but as others have said, the fact this woman is running for VP is frightening.

interview was a disaster."

I just love hearing that.

BTW, has any news outlet mentioned that she appeared to be referring to notes presumably on her lap (unless she had talking points written on her hand)? Did Katie Couric mention anything about that?

You're right...she isn't "funny", she's a disaster for this country, and a pathetic sign of just how desperate and willing to sacrifice ANYTHING mcAncient is to gain the White House.

She IS a sad state of affair for this country. I am deeply shocked and frightened for the future of our country, and this pathetic excuse for a vp candidate says it ALL for how low this country has sunk.

38. Sarah = McBush's worst mistake yet.
Check out the Anti-Palin rally in Anchorage today, courtesy of the Anchorage Daily News:

http://www.adn.com/sarah-palin/story/539483.html

Photos: http://www.adn.com/sarah-palin/v-gallery/story/539483.html?/1521/gallery/539277.html

A headline from today in the VERY right-wing Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (we locals call it the news-minus): http://newsminer.com/news/2008/sep/28/investigation-reveals-palin-got-zoning-aid-gifts/

"Investigation reveals Palin got zoning aid, gifts"

In order to understand how unusual this is, you'd really have to live here (Blue_in_AK can back this up!!) but this community has been so far-right since the Pipeline, it's ridiculous. Now we're back to a somewhat moderate political community - and I'm seeing John Brown/Joe Paskvan/Ethan Berkowitz/Mark Begich (all Dems!) on signs in my neighborhood yards, this same neighborhood that voted overwhelmingly for Shrub/Cheney and Sarah.................

and my Obama/Biden signs haven't been stolen ONCE!

39. Palin should be a lead script writer for SNL
All she needs to do is to sit down with a journalist, respond to the questions, and then the unedited results go straight to the SNL crew, verbatim. Sounds like a bright future indeed.

45. Palin has as much knowledge and intelligence as any other....
Republican. I don't understand why people think she is dumber than the average Republican? To me, she represents all Republicans intelligence. That's why the Great American Maverick and War Hero chose her to be a heart beat away from leading our country as POTUS.

If people here can't accept Palin for what she is, just another run of the mill Republican then they give way to much credit to the average run of the mill Republicans in office today.
