Responding to charges from Senator Norm Coleman in new TV ad, Al Franken says Coleman looked Minnesota in the eye and lied to them. Franken says he had no prior knowledge or involvement in bringing the suit that alleges money was funneled to Coleman by one of his wealthy supporters.

This is a news conference that aired live on The UpTake November 1, 2008

5. Here is Norm Coleman's ad, trying to get sympathy,
...while blaming Al Franken when Franken had nothing to do with the lawsuit.

12. that was actually great
i especially loved it when al told the reporter, you have a job to do. all the facts are in his corner, and the press does need to do its job. he'll make a wonderful lawmaker, he is so intelligent and so focused on what matters.

his opponent is a slimy tool.

13. If I was a Minnesotian_? I'd be so proud to have the choice
of voting for Al Franken. That comes from the heart. He's somebody I would welcome into my family. For the intellectual talks and the humor. Two things I love in an individual. Intelligence and humor. You can't have one without the other. (IMO)
