I'm pretty sure this is the penultimate episode of "The Last Republican." In this one, we find McCain "advisor" Martin Eisenstadt campaigning on the mean streets of Beverly Hills. Surprisingly, he finds quite a lot of McCain supporters in the heart of liberal California. But the bad news is that they all appear to be tourists. For those who have followed this series, there's a surprising twist with Eisenstadt's loyal assistant Danny. And it looks like things might be heating up between Marty and the BBC documentarian, Samantha. Hmmm, seems a little like what happened to John Edwards and the woman who followed him around with a video camera.

1. Eisenstadt seen with Joe the Plumber at SNL afterparty with McCain

I just read in Politico that Joe the Plumber was at the McCain Saturday Night Live afterparty and reportedly got Ben Affleck's agent to hook him up as next season's star of "The Bachelor." Funnier still is that he allegedly tongue-tied Kirsten Wiig.
