Thousands of dolphins and other larger cetaceans are killed off the coast of Japan every year. Certainly complaints from tourists and complaints to Japanese export companies such as Toyota could help end this practice.

Dolphins are herded and killed with knives, or just wounded and then brought to the slaughter house. Many dolphins are kept for aquarium shows, kept in tiny tanks.
