2. Since when is the public "center-right"?
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 11:17 PM by MindMatter
When you look at polls on the issues, as opposed to polls on the personalities, you find on issue after issue, 70+% of the public favors what the right-wingers characterize as the "liberal positions". Look at the environment, health care, outsourcing of jobs, education, all the way down the line. Americans favor liberal positions by a wide margin.

Shame on us for not owning those issues and getting elected on them -- until now.

Obama is the Jiu Jitsu king. He very well might let the right sell the story that he is moving right to the center at the very time he enacts these more progressive solutions that the public wants.

4. I want to see Liberals stop that bullshit in its f'n tracks! NOW!

Center right my ass! If this election's not a fuckin' mandate, I don't believe there is such a thing. Barack was wise to moderate in some respects to appeal to the voters but the widespread victories for Dems (especially since the media paints ALL Dems a Communists) is a loud, proud FUCK YOU to the right... and that includes the "center" right.

I have written on this here:

http://www.thefrankfactor.com/2008/11/the-bush-mandate-the-messiah-obama/

George W. Bush, remember that guy? The captain of the unsinkable Republican ship the Titanic, that lame duck loser-in-chief who frequently peppered those mumbling, incoherent dry drunk rages his feeders called speeches with "mandate" and "the American people want," blah, blah, blah- insert any of the catastrophic blunders of the Bush Administration. Bush the Blunderer never actually won any election and managed to convince himself that he was literally god's gift to humanity with a "mandate" and speaking for the "American People". So what does that make Barack Obama? The candidate who actually won the popular vote by millions and the electoral votes by a crushing landslide... a Messiah?

7. F...ing wingnuts want to have it both ways
During the election: Obama's an extreme liberal, a leftist, a socialist, etc., etc.

After the election: the country still tilts to the right

I hate to break this to you bunch of misbegotten a..holes: if the country bought into your diatribe about Obama being a socialist, they were apparently just fine with it! A right-center country indeed! It's quite clear that people were running away in droves from the hell you right-wingers brought us over the past 8 years!
