It's interesting to see the Goebbels-esque propaganda unit so blatantly manipulating their supporters during their vile campaign's final death throes. It clearly shows that they had got so used to manipulating the rest of America for the past 8 years it had become instinctive, even when it wasn't really necessary - they were obviously going to find out anyway, sooner or later.

27. They're like the couple repukes that surround my desk at work...
they were always grasping at the worst of the FUX talking points - from "socialist/communist" to "muslim" to "terrorist" - they are still in genuine "fear for our country"...even making mock Hitler salutes...

I finally had to explain to them that they are the "backwash" - they never heard the term before - and felt insulted.

I told them "but I love you anyway" in the same condescending tone they told be countless times before everytime they made a vile comment about the "democrat party" and democrats.

and I responded - "oh - like how you have insulted me for these past few YEARS?"

they have been very quiet since...

7. I guess the indoctrination pills wore off

Definitely the drinks were weak - or those two shouters would have rushed the stage and claimed the flag for McCain. I hope they get a chance to see themselves on youtube so they can relive that moment again and again. "NO... NEVER" - reminds me of that lady screaming outside the Democratic Committee meeting. Denial is a river.

12. To the idiots yelling never
congratulations
You are going to be part of the problem for the GOP. I am not asking Republicans to come over to our side. I learned in the last eight years that being critical of the President is good. I suspect that you (yelling never idiots) are going to be why the GOP will be on a decline for at least 8 years. The GOP has a problem, they by ideology can not shift with the changing electorate. There is a faction in GOP that can not see past there bigoted ways, and will always want to take on the roll as the "held back white guys". Good luck in your next few years of listening to Rush, Hannity, and whom ever else that spouts your favorite message of the "white victim party". We the party of many will be trying to expand our tent and bring rights to all.

Schadenfreude
NOW tense

19. I think he said...
"Be tall...Take the high road" to which the 'never' guy said " I am taking the high road".

I wonder if the young man who advised him to "take the high road", was an Obama supporter, there just to see how McCain's supporters reacted. It sure didn't seem like the type of rhetoric we'd here from the "republicants".

18. Possibly because they have been deceived - and believed the deceptions - so many times...
...that they'll never see through the fog of indoctrination. It's very much like being a member of a cult, they are in serious need deprogramming...

24. My Condolences
I watched the video and tried to put an objective lens on it. Frankly, I was one of those people shouting NEVER NEVER when Bush and his cronies stole the elections of 2000 and 2004. However, I am displaying one of the fundamental weaknesses of Democrats right now. We actually care and can be empathetic. It holds us back from victory because we don't blindly follow some religious bullshit or Fascist marching orders. We tend to think for ourselves. We question authority. We don't blindly submit to authority. That is the most important difference between those of us on the left and those people on the right.

On the left we are comfortable with uncertainty. We can deal with a diverse world in which there are many points of view and many types of people. On the right, they can't. Dealing with uncertainty or diversity causes such discomfort that they reject it. Their brains are not wired to handle it.

I believe the evolution of our species has wrought this schism. When we were early humans and kept to ourselves in small communities the wiring of our brains that drove us to protect and enhance the tribe in which we lived made sense. Now, we're no longer dependent upon just our tribe. We are an integrated world. The recent financial crisis proves that.

It's time for use to abandon the reptilian brain of our past and move on to higher functions and a higher social order.
