1. Continue in that vein, and watch the Democratic majority expand even further. |
|
Which would be fine with me.

2. What a crock! No mandate? McCain didn't manage to flip one blue state, |
|

Obama winds up with a 2:1 EV surplus, and an 8 million popular vote surplus...I'd say that's a mandate, and f**k all the rhetoric to the contrary. Recommended.

5. 4 years ago 50.1% was a "mandate" and W got "political capital" |
|
NOW 53% is NOT a mandate
:eyes:
Plus something that no one wants to mention (because they will have to rewrite their scripts) is that 4 years ago the issues were threats death fear Obama did the heavy lifting to change the issues to at least NOT threats death fear He steadied the rudder and got us back to actual issues, needs, and policies to address them.

3. they can deny all they want; people want the Dems now. |
|
We knew this two years ago: the nation is looking to the Democrats for answers now. It's not just Obama. If he had not run, the current President-elect would be some other Democrat. Not that Obama shouldn't be getting a lot of credit now for a well-run campaign! It still could have been stolen if it had been close.

4. Conservative thought process... |
|
Conservatives believe Republicans are elected to enact conservative policies.
Conservatives believe Democrats are elected to enact conservative policies.
The sad part is they have convinced too many democrats that this is true.

9. As long as the Republicans stay in denial |
|
and think that this was not a repudiation of conservative values. They will never get it together and will continue to be the minority party. Only when they own up to the fact that America has rejected them can they figure out where to change direction and start to be a viable party again. So all of this denial is great, I hope they continue to feel this way.
