Conservatism is an extinct dinosaur, wiped off the face of the Earth by Karl Rove, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. The Republicanism that has replaced it is a Frankenstein monster of religious fanaticism, end-times fairy tales, homophobia, racism, denial, anti-intellectualism, runaway greed, blatant hypocrisy and the symptoms of untreated emotional abuse.

It will take three domestic terrorist attacks, eight years of continual hubris, failure, aggression, secrecy, economic collapse, mounting debt, Constitutional and Civil Rights desecration, unaccountability, lawlessness, intimidation and worse for Barack Obama and the Democrats to catch up to the colossal failure that is the legacy of Republicanism and the Bush administration in the twenty-first century.

11. Failure of the Fourth Estate

What we have witnessed is the failure of the Fourth Estate to properly keep the citizens informed. They were little more than the mouth piece of the Bush administration. They were guilty of assisting the PNAC dominated Bush administration in totally misleading the American public in the run up to the war in Iraq. They conspired with the administration to hide the fact that the PNAC neo-cons were intent on invading Iraq long before they managed to steal the presidency. As Helen Thomas said they were not the watchdogs, but the lap dogs of the administration.

They have again committed their act of treason by not revealing to the American public the direct ties that Palin has had to the Alaska Independence Party. The founder of the party to which her husband belonged despised the United States, advocated armed Resistance and that Alaska should secede from the Union. Her first venture into public office was managed by the AIP members in Wasilla. She sought out the support of the AIP in her run for governor and thank them for their support after being elected. That this traitorous witch should have been selected to run for the vice president of the United States is an insult to every patriotic American. Once again the Forth Estate failed the American people.
