The arrogance and disconnect of the people who run GM of the last few years (what is good for GM is good for America ummmmmm .... not so much) is nothing new. Back in the 50s or 60s, I forget which at the moment, the head of GM said "by God, if the American people want economy, they are going to pay for it".

Deja vu all over again.
