1. Even should we come out on top in all 3 remaining Senate seats |
|
giving us 58 Dems plus Bernie Sanders... and needing just ONE more to have a filibuster proof Senate,
we should still kick Joementum to the curb. Offer chairmanships or other plum gifts to some other Repuke if they vote with us on the filibuster.
But not Joe. I don't give a crap about how he votes more often with Dems then some other Dems. I don't give a crap if Obama forgives him.
He is a snake in the grass. We need to get him out of our caucus.

3. LIEberman Only Votes With Us When it DOESN'T Matter |
|
He says he's pro-choice, but where were those pro-choice principles when Bush** was trying to push his wingnut judges through?
Did LIEberman vote to sustain the Democratic filibuster even once?
Sure, he'd vote with us in the final vote that we were sure to lose (before 2006) but so what?

We are not all so bad.
I agree with you on Lieberman and seeing all the support he is getting from other Dems really disgusts me. Lieberman is a liability and he will betray us again. While Lieberman is a horrible individual, it is Reid whom I really detest. This invertebrate needs to be replaced!

chairmanship, he replies "It generally doesn't happen". Well, no shit, that is because politicians generally do not come out in support of the opposing party.

the Republicans (the "we" he is talking about) DO need more like Lieberman. The rest of us could very well do without more like him.

11. I have a work bench in my basement with a wobbly leg. |
|
Joe Lieberman could sit in my basement and prop up the wobbly table, but that's about ALL I think that POS is good for.
And Joe, if you do a good job with the table, I MIGHT let you clean the catbox out with your tongue, but at this point I'm not convinced you can be trusted with that level of responsibility.

We do need more old-style cooperation between parties. That is, someone needs to start being the grown up. Otherwise, the Gingrich/Rove style attacking will go on indefinitely. I hope to hell that Obama does reach out in good faith to try to get things done as bipartisan as possible. I know not everyone will play fair; and that someone might even take advantage of the good will. But, if anyone has a shot of bringing true change to the tone in Washington, Obama would be it. And I trust him to be smart enough to know when others are trying to take advantage of his good will and outreach.
