2. I still have the button from that campaign.
Greenpeace was more or less founded around Bob Hunter's kitchen table in Kitsilano, which was kinda the Haight-Ashbury of Vancouver. Damn, it was a great town in those days, and he was one of the greatest people in it.

in a very short time period, this kind of awakening. And then it was overrun or went back down into the depths again. Also many of the men on that 1st trip were really from the more mature generation, and much more serious type people, along with the more younger hippy types.
