This is awesome! IVAW members dropped over 4,000 army men at a gas station to
give people a sense for the amount of young American casualties
in the war in Iraq.

7. They had better have cleaned that up.
If they hadn't, than it's littering and not fair to the people who own the gas station.

8. First of all, we don't know if they did not clean it up
And we are talking about big oil, corporate America, which has profited handsomely from the military industrial complex. Toy soldiers left to clean up is nothing compared to the damage done to our troops.

10. And we don't know if they did clean it up.
And no, were talking about a gas station, not big oil. That's like vandalizing a sporting good store because you disagree with sweat shops. It's not fair to the people who own the gas station, period. It's littering, it's graffiti, whether it has a "message" or not.

11. If they own the station they are complicit with big oil
and have profited from this illegal war. No, I don't feel sorry for them.

9. I'm just sure they did, 'cause littering is so much more debased THAN murder.

12. Let's compare 4000 toy soldiers to 4000 dead soldiers
and one million Iraqis.

14. As someone who has worked in a gas station before
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 10:19 AM by Downtown Hound
That would take about five minutes to clean up, and really wouldn't be that big of a deal. Compare that to all the times I had to clean shit off the floor in the bathroom. And since you're out sweeping at least several times a day anyway, at least something like this would make the monotony of having the most boring job ever slightly more interesting.

5. PRICE OF GAS: 4200 U.S. SOLDIERS AND HOW MANY INNOCENT IRAQIS?
This is an excellent peaceful action by our Iraq War vets.
