5. THAT'S MY SENATOR SAINT BARB!!! She is awesome!

God love her! People don't know about her because she doesn't praise herself for what she does (especially for veterans). She personally has helped my family during specific crises since 1984, to an extent you wouldn't believe. She cuts through Federal BS like a laser beam. She cut through a messy tangle of it, so my husband and I were able to buy our home 12 years ago. She has personally, nearly by herself, brought about reforms in the VA as a whole, without taking any public credit for it.

She started out as a social worker, and she REALLY CARES about her constituents. When you call her for help, she does something. She doesn't just say (as most do) "well I really don't get involved in specific problems". What they mean is, they're too important to stoop to care, much less be bothered.

To this day, when I casually mention her name at the Baltimore VA office, faces go pale.

We call her "The Mighty Mite".

You know what? She looks mad enough in that clip, to severely put some hurt on some Repubs... and I've seen in action her ability to do it. They just messed up.

Her bill btw, would've given a write-off of taxes and interest on any car sold between now and January 1st - the height of the car buying season. A great idea that wasn't even permanent, and that jackass Sununu pulled this shit. What an ass!

Go get 'em, Barb. They got it coming.

*edit: I just realized that she went into what she said so that Sununu would be on the record by name, along with what she said about him.
