Ron Paul brings up some good points on change.

Please do not throw the baby out with the bathwater with Ron Paul.

2. please don't assume that...
because Ron Paul was against the war, he's not also a crazy, racist motherfucker with ridiculous ideas.

David Duke was against the war, too, and not coincidentally, Paul and Duke happen to share a lot of the same supporters.

Here's a nice overview about Ron Paul's white supremacist ties: http://dneiwert.blogspot.com/2008/01/clearing-view-of-ron-paul.html

That was written back in January... yet do you see the guy in the picture with Paul? Now read this article from after Obama was elected. http://www.mlive.com/news/saginawnews/index.ssf?/base/news-6/1226071235133480.xml&coll=9

Fuck Ron Paul.

3. I think Ron Paul is against
social security. I do not agree with this.

But also Ron Paul is one of the only politicians that want to protect the dollar. Social security will not be worth a damn if the dollar goes down the tubes.

There is a long list of ideas besides American imperialism that Ron Paul discusses ignored by the media and our politicians. It burns me up that so called liberals can ignore these important ideas.

It is convenient to kill the ideas by killing the messenger but there is no other messenger.

13. a little louder with me - F*CK RON PAUL AND THE VIDEO HE RODE IN ON!
OP's got nerve putting this very anti Obama video on a liberal DEMOCRATIC website. Paul is an ass, outside of his anti-war stance there's not much I agree with him on, or better yet, the way he wants to combat it.

18. Ever see the Ron Paul Political Report?
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS01/10/paul.newsletters/index.html

I don't know why he's so revered around here. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

12. you both have 907 posts this very second (the OP and you)
I thought for a sec I was replying to him, so I did a double take, anyhow, I'd just tell this person to enjoy their stay - they put up this very anti-Obama video and say Paul has some very good things to say - nice.... he insinuates Obama is another weak politician with no grounding, and doesn't have very strong beliefs... what a great vid to put up on a liberal Democratic site!

6. I've said it before and I'll say it again
Ron Paul lost for a reason - for the most part, he points out the problem, however, his solutions are the worst possible thing.

10. I wanted someone other than Obama in there, it wouldn't be Ron Paul
even though he does say some things I agree with.

But I'd take Kucinich over RP any day.

11. No, throw the baby out and burn the tub it was in.
'Obama doesn't have very solid beliefs' - yeah, I want to rec that - Paul is a nut and whoever rec'd it is equally scary.

This man wants to privatize everything, is for drugs being legalized which will lead to greater use, just like cigarettes and liquor. Less people are willing to break a law when things that aren't good for you are illegal, sorry, and from all I've read in his comments he comes across as a homophobe.

14. Corporations own Washington,
and if we want to change that we need to put it to Obama.

Ron Paul at least understands this much and he tells it like it is.

I don't agree with Ron Paul on a whole lot, but I also don't like the mainstream politicians that conduct business as usual. Obama is appointing a whole bunch of them.

15. this comment I can agree with & it is obvious he's being told
and heeding the call that he needs to put in a bunch of mainstream business as usual types - however, let's see what happens the day his feet his the oval office floor! Hoping for real change.

17. Legalizing drugs will not lead to greater use. What are you talking about?
If people want to smoke pot, they'll smoke pot. If they don't want to, they don't. But to say the moment it's legalized, all the people who didn't smoke, will all of a sudden start smoking, is ridiculous. Just look at the percentage of people smoking pot in the US, where it's forbidden, and Holland, where it's permitted. You'll see that outlawing it makes it much more attractive. Didn't people learn this from Prohibition?

19. I don't understand why people love him so much here....
yeah he's right on the Iraq War and the war on drugs, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

The people that like him here obviously know very little of what he actually stands for.
