1. Well, maybe. They also make those things without the brandy . . .
For teetotalers. Which is not to say I wouldn't enjoy seeing Bush muddy drunk in a gutter someday so I could pee on him. It's not like he can bring *more* shame to the office of the president.

Could he?

Shit . . . he does have almost two months . . .

2. LOL
"muddy drunk in a gutter someday so I could pee on him"

...and that's coming from MrModerate. I hope, for W's sake, he doesn't find himself muddy drunk in a gutter while MrExtreme is walking by.

13. I am a drinker...
and know a drunk when I see one. He is not a teetotaler.

3. you know of all the things he IS....
and all the things he has done....
at least up until now, he's at least tried to put on a facade of competence and morality.

--now he's not even trying.

He's always been a profit seeking, corporate, constitution trampling a** hole.

now he's a discussing, drunk, profit seeking, corporate, constitution trampling a** hole.

4. One problem with this:
You can't fall off of that which you have never been on.

Constantly bruised pretzel boy has been pickled for longer than he's known Pickles and well, we have plenty of examples where he even drank in public. They say he has premature senile dementia. Bullshit. He has alcohol dementia and he's had it for most of the last 6-8 years. It will be hard to believe for those of you who had never heard of Dubya before the pResidency, but while he has always been a silverspoon sociopath, he was, once upon a time, sufficiently articulate. No Einstein was he, but he could put together a coherent sentence, even without a teleprompter!

The saved by Jesus thing is just a ruse for him and since the whackadoo base wouldn't have gone for him if he was a current alcoholic, but only a saved and reformed alcoholic, he became the saved alcoholic and just hoped no one would notice he didn't actually reform. Most whackadoos didn't notice since they are generally a stupid lot - it's no mistake that they are called the lambs of God. Have you ever seen how stupid lambs are? But those of us with two brain cells and even more importantly, two or more alcoholics in our families, we can see it clearly. Cenk was just teasing him. Cenk knows as well as I do, that idiot is, was and always will be a drunk. I don't see AA in his future, just a liver transplant.

6. Agree
He never was sober; he just is relieved that he doesn't even have to pretend anymore.

12. He has been clearly drunk for years now ...
He has been hammered at press conferences off and on for years, and the pictures from him in the stands at the Olympics are undeniable, U N D E N I A B L E proof of him being retardedly drunk.

15. I also agree with this...
I drink, and know plenty of drunks. Bush is a big drunk. Like you say, he used to be able to string sentences together. His mind no longer functions properly.

9. I hope so
Dry drunks are probably even worse than the active ones...at least the ones who are active are passed out most of the time and can't do anyone else much harm until they wake up again.

8. Two Lines
(to the tune of Two Pina Coladas, tip o' the hat to Garth "Party On, W!" Brooks)

TWO LINES

I was feeling the blues, watching Fox News
When this fella comes on the TV
He said tomorrow's the day, when the US of A
Won't be ruled by George W, that's me

That got me thinkin, my ship may be sinkin
But at least I can end this charade
Quit all this pretendin, and get back to spendin
My days in a dope-addled haze

So bring me
Two lines of cocaine, and a straw for each hand
I'm so tired of bein sober, threw those 12 steps in the can
I'm not one for braggin, but I'm off of the wagon
Going back to my pig farm and binge
It's time to get back, maybe this time I'll try crack -
Say goodbye to your straight President

At first I was sad, but my dear old dad
Said it was time for me to move on
And make room for another, course I hope it's my brother
Who'll carry the torch when I'm gone*

This leavin DC, is agreein with me
Cause I've a lot of catchin up to do
2009 will be filled, gettin stewed to the gills
On everything I've had to eschew (looked it up, heh!)

So bring me
Two lines of cocaine, and a straw for each hand
I want to go totally AWOL, forget all about Iran
All my troubles are gone, the show from now on
Will be run by the heir to the throne
I'll get Laura to drive, I'm just along for the ride
Stayin shitfaced, enameled and stoned

I've been jonesin' for years, gettin by on near-beer
But now I can finally relent,
It's good to be back, hey pass me the crack -
Say goodbye to your straight President

* well, we all know how THAT turned out.

- La Biscuit

14. Sad song
Too sad for Li'l Bush, though... I pity the fool in that song, but no pity for W.

When he's going around looking for nickels and dimes on the sidewalk, THEN maybe I'll feel something like pity.

11. That "knowing" look Cenk gave
Edited on Wed Nov-26-08 10:46 AM by ejbr
when he said former presidents usually give advice. Priceless!

However, I can see future presidents using him for direction in policy.

Aide: "Mr. President, former president Bush says that he would turn left on this here predicament."

President:"Really? Well then it's decided, we turn RIGHT!"
