The saved by Jesus thing is just a ruse for him and since the whackadoo base wouldn't have gone for him if he was a current alcoholic, but only a saved and reformed alcoholic, he became the saved alcoholic and just hoped no one would notice he didn't actually reform. Most whackadoos didn't notice since they are generally a stupid lot - it's no mistake that they are called the lambs of God. Have you ever seen how stupid lambs are? But those of us with two brain cells and even more importantly, two or more alcoholics in our families, we can see it clearly. Cenk was just teasing him.
