3. could be, although i think they were trying to kick conservatives where it hurt either way |
|
basically in that they picked someone sooooooo mentally stupid in order to get their 'family values' in the mix, that they ended up shooting themselves in the face and undermining EVERYTHING they believed in on 'family values'... hence the over-the-top comment from the last gal - which I think was meant to be aimed right at the GOP family values crowd. imho

They didn't have to do the abortion part. I feel they made a joke of it. They have so much other stuff to work with.

It made it look like just what the talibornagains think it is. I understand that is probably what they wanted to do, making fun of it, but abortion is just too serious to make light of like that IMHO. The rest was great though.

21. tons more to go with, literally DOZENS of things, and to make light of the act of an abortion |
|
which is a serious decision and sometimes a painful one knowing what is going to be ended, is a bizarre choice to make light of while tapping one's stomach and smiling. I guess they just want to rub it in, but they're young, they probably thought it was so funny. The rest is hilarious! I loved the ending MTM show.

25. I disagree - it was like turning the rusty knife in the wound - it was PERFECT... |
|
NOBODY, but NOBODY "wants" an abortion, and this illustrated PERFECTLY how STUPID these fucking religious asswipes are...
It turned their "pro-abortion" crap (instead of PRO-CHOICE is what it really is) back at them and HIT them with it - hard...

opinion on who is allowed to have abortions is irrelevent. It's next to zero chance that they will ever return to power at this point, which the skit is highlighting really. We are free to say that it is an invidual's choice and very likely will remain that way, from reading the swing of the political pendulum and the GOP burning so many bridges. I can only see there down the line being a milder conservative branch that will break off from the Democratic party down the line by all probability.

|
it's too complex and serious an issue to make fun of like that. make libs seem like they enjoy abortions.

30. Really not that funny |
|
especially because of that last abortion bit.
It's like a video that Righties made how they thought Lefties would see things. Just because we support a woman's right to choose, does not mean that we all, on a personal level, support the act of abortion in all instances, or that it is something to be happy about doing.
Smells like a set up piece to me.
