7. I think it is the most effective ad ever. It's honest. It does not propagandize.

it tells the story of one who has really been there. Also, it attacks the lie that the right-winger-in-denial use as an excuse for keeping our troops in Iraq: that we are wanted there, that we are helping the Iraqis by being there, that things will be worse for the Iraqis if we leave.

In my view, it is very much like Viet Nam. It will be horrible if we leave and horrible if we stay. A pattern of violence has begun. Violence begets violence. Eventually, one side will win, and then the other will win. The divisions will become more severe, not less so, regardless whether we stay or leave. When the fire of anger and hatred runs out of fuel, it will end, and all that will be left will be the ashes.
