This is from the same cabaret show that featured the "I love you, Rachael Maddow" song. I listened to a few other songs from the show and this one stopped me absolutely dead in my tracks. I'm privileged to make this my first post. It reflects what many of us have been feeling & thinking the past 8 years. I felt like this needed to be heard by many. Enjoy.

94 views and not a single comment...? Even a "this sucks" would suffice :hi:

7. I understand...
I myself am new to all of this. Before I had always voted for the one with the "D" behind the name, without really thinking. But this election season is the first time I've really challenged myself to learn about the process. DU has definitely contributed to that. After the past 8 years, I truly feel awakened and want to go out there and fight for what I think is the best for our country.

2. Thank you for posting this.
What a great first post. I too hear her words. Eight years. We've waited a long time. Peace, Kim

3. Nice
Liked the Rachel song better. Reminds me of popular political humor of the early 60's - or maybe only the faint memories of the grown ups watching "that was the week that was"?

I haven't consumed enough to make a judgment, but I think Garrison Keillor is good at this song and politics stuff at lake woebegone?
