1. Nope, Not Even Collapsing the Economy Will Save the GOP |
|
As if people didn't know the damage they've done already, or that the GOP can conceal any further depredations.

3. I have no doubt many FATCATS fervently desire a Weimar-style collapse of the US |

economy, hyperinflation and all. The working middle class will be completely destroyed, the independent news media will go under, and the terrified sheeple will baa loudly for a fuhr.., um, good patriotic American leader with rod and fasces to lead them beside corporate-owned waters and restore their identity as Consumers. Repugs are corporate fascists, plain and simple. At heart, they are authoritarian plutocrats not unlike the tiny, corrupt ruling class of late Imperial Rome. The idea of an educated, rational-minded citizenry controlling a democratic republic is absolutely abhorrent to these bloated parasites. What's really fucking terrifying to this Dog is how easily these thugs could stage a "constitutional" takeover. A vast section of the populace that should be naturally friendly to the left has been brainwashed by advertising, AM radio and Republican Jeezus and turned into eager potential stormtroopers of any future fascist administration. We underestimate the strength of the anti-democratic Right in this benighted country at grave risk, my friends.
