Franklin Roosevelt's aggressive approach to the economy helped pull the country out of the Great Depression. However, a few years after he started his new spending policies, he gave into Republican pressure and stopped. Things went south from there, forcing him to restart these programs. Mike Papantonio of Air America's Ring of Fire talks with author and columnist Jim Hightower about Obama's need to be bolder and stronger than FDR was during the Depression.

1. Do Americans actually get it?

I really wonder if working class Americans actually understand that we are in a war with the powerful wealthy class. It is for certain that working class Republicans are totally clueless.

They don't even realize the basic fact that the Republican Party is totally controlled by the top 1% of their party and every policy is for their benefit. Daily, working class Republicans drink the cool-aide and unfortunately far too many Democrats also buy the propaganda hook, line and sinker.
