Axelrod: Cheney having a hard time dealing with GOP loss

By David Edwards

President Barack Obamas Senior White House advisor responded to criticism from former vice president Dick Cheney. Apparently the vice president is having a hard time dealing with the verdict of the American people, said Axelrod.

Cheney has criticized the new administrations plans to close the detention center at Guantanamo Bay. When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an al-Aaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill americans, then i worry, Cheney told Politico.

Axelrod hit back at Cheney this morning on NBCs Meet the Press. What he said here is really irresponsible, said Axelrod. President bush could not have been more generous in the transition in every conceivable way. When he left he said, Im rooting for you guys. I hope you do well. I believe that. Apparently the memo didnt go down the line.

This video is from NBCs Meet the Press, broadcast Feb. 15, 2009.

5. Lordy, the difference b/ween Obama and Bush couldn't be clearer.

The former is advised by Axelrod; the latter was controlled by Rove.

Sort of like the difference between clean-smelling, nutritous compost
and a steaming pile of fresh pig shit.

3. "Obama officials are unwisely following campaign rhetoric"
Edited on Sun Feb-15-09 06:36 PM by RJ Connors
So in essence what the Dickster is saying is, "So he's actually going to do what he said he was going to do in the campaign he ran! Why, that's absurd, nobody does what they say they are going to do. You just say that shit to get people to vote for you, but once your in then you do what you damn well please."

Well Dick, yes you are correct, that is how the Republicans do things, which goes a long way toward explaining why we are currently in the disaster we are in. But you see Dick, people who are honest, or at least attempt to be honest, do follow through with what they say they will do. A point that is very lost on your party.

7. "The United States needs to be respected."
Good job on that one, Dick. Has any individual done more to earn disrespect, contempt, and outright hatred for America than Dick Cheney? I can think of maybe two candidates, one named Karl and one named George.
