Why? Because it gave the Clintons (and the Clinton people) a vested stake in the success of the Obama Administration.

3. The right wing will say or do anything to get the blame off of themselves.

Clinton now is their target for agreeing to end the GlassSteigel Act in the final budget ---a move which was pushed by everyone of them at the time -- now it is a convenient way to blame Clinton and get the heat off themselves. The current climate is about whose side you are on -- not about honestly doling out blame. Republicans know this and they will blame dems to cover their own fat asses Dems have to wise up make sure that they understand this is political war more than it is about philosophy or issues specifics.

4. If the dems didn't get the message before the stimulus...

...they should have it loud and clear by now.

The Repubs don't care about doing what's best for this country. They don't care about bipartisanship. They think "poor" is a disease, and they can't even SPELL "middle class".

Their goal is to a) regain power; and b) funnel money to the rich. Everything they do is an attempt to achieve one or both of these objectives, and they'll throw the whole world down the economic crapper to do it.
