7.  Chris Hayes was GREAT
"I think this sounds like someone who just gets the entirety of their politics from listening to Rush Limbaugh, and like reading townhall.com, and I really think that, like there is a significant portion (snickers) of the republican house caucus of whom that could be fairly said, that these are people that exist in this very INTENSE, FERVENT, IDEOLOGICALLY EXTREME, SHELTERED, WITHDRAWN, INBRED sub-culture of right, real real hard rightwingery and that Michelle Bachmann is clearly example #1."(snickers)

On global warming:

“The big thing we are working on now is the global warming hoax. It’s all voodoo, nonsense, hokum, a hoax,” Bachmann said.

And on Iraq:

“What our service men and women have accomplished over there has been nothing short of astounding,” she said “Though you never hear about it in the media. God has not abandoned us.“

Referring to John McCain, Bachmann told the West Sherburne Tribune:

“He is not my man,” she said. “Our candidate was chosen by the media. But there are other races out there.” <..>

9. There's honest opposition, and then there's idiocy like Michele Bachmann
And I'm glad people are calling folks like her out on the carpet. Those who can spout Rush-isms all day, every day but can't be bothered with truth or facts.

How in God's name she has been elected to the U.S. Congress is a mystery. I've never even been to Minnesota and I'm embarrassed for that whole state.

13. I honestly think the last election was her swan song
because the type of prosperity theology that was getting her base's butts in the pews of the wingnut churches is going to be shown once and for all as a total scam.

That party really are marginalizing themselves at breakneck speed.

22. I think Hayes hit the nail on the head when he said people like her get all info from Limbaugh & Co.
I had my first whiff of how stupid Bachmann is when she was the Republican surrogate on an interview covering McCain selecting Palin as his running mate.

The answers she gave were nothing short of ridiculous. Bachmann bragged up Palin's foreign policy "experience" because Alaska is closer to Russia than any other state. Palin has good business sense because she sold a plane on Ebay. And on and on. Answers with no substance. They just sounded like she was repeating something she may have heard on Limbaugh or some other low IQ talk show.

James Carville was giving the Democratic argument to Palin's selection. He chewed her and spit her out like the piece of shit she is.

25. I am deeply troubled by the likes of Bachmann.
I really fear for our nation when a person of her caliber can win election to the congress.

Just what does it say about the state of the nation when people in her district would send her off to represent them? It truly not only pathetic but a real tragedy.

It really is nothing to laugh about when these very same people are totally responsible for having taken the nation to the brink of collapse. It is especially frightening that these people are doing everything in their power to oppose the very programs that could rescue our Republic from the disastrous situation they have created. It is as if they are such obstructionists that they are inviting anarchy as the only solution to stop them from their determination to destroy the nation.

Unfortunately Michelle Buchmann represents the depths to which the Republicans have become so mired in their radical ideology that they have lost all contact with reality. They have truly become self-destructive.

Women like Bachman and Palin give those of us (women) with education and common sense a complete turn around from equal rights with their ridiculous lines of bullshit and awkward "spaciness". I'm afraid that they are giving rise to a whole new generation of sexist jerks with their public crucifiction of the educated womam....

Edited on Thu Feb-19-09 10:49 AM by AlbertCat
....would never be heard or even in government if it hadn't been for SMART women and LIBERAL legislation that finally allow women to participate.

Imagine these two raising children! YIKES!

But kids get more input from peers than parents....just look at Palin's daughter. She "gets it" more than her Mom (no pun intended...no really!)

37. When he said her district is very RW, I can vouch for that...
The radio media available is the usual RW blowhards 24/7; everyone has cable or satellite; if they are online, Newsmax is the flavor; many are evangelicals who've been subverted (have RW politics as part of the church doctrine) and don't understand that religion turned into a business a couple decades ago, etc. Another pocket of real hard RWers south of the Twin Cities- same scenario. These areas have been locally famous for living in delusion for a long time.

41. Of the 535 individuals in Congress....
I would put Bachmann at the absolute bottom, #535 out of 535, quite a bit below #534, Marsha Blackburn of TN. IMHO, the two of them are the absolute worst America has been able to produce in terms of Congress critters.

I would like to know: why do they both have the initials "MB", the same as my initials? And are there other crazy, worthless MBs in Congress?
