"Rant of the Year"? :eyes: And the characterization that he captures the mood of the country is baloney imo.

1. Looks like a cross section of the junior members of the country club
I believe he is on the commodities floor, yeah like THEY didn't have anything to do with this :eyes:

"Losers" are losers because they take people down with them or try to...they did.

4. A Wallstreet Punk
wagging his fingers at Mainstreet schmoes after asshats like him, caused the present situation and were the first ones running to Congress for help.

Screw you pRick.

2. Come on, Rick
I'm sick of people, nay, "experts," and their constant generalizations about home owners who have or will default on their mortgage. Not everyone who has been forced to default on their mortgage loan is a scum bag, or a loser. While there is no doubt that some, even many home owners in this country are currently in houses they can't easily afford, many of those very people are in that position for reasons beyond their control. Lay offs, illness, injury, and other mitigating circumstances have put millions of Americans into a very difficult situation. You act like they're all criminals, Rick. But, hey, if you would prefer that the government not interfere, those same millions of people will most likely lose their homes and that represents a worst-case-scenario for EVERYONE. Even your fans on Wall St.

6. Rick rose up through
The junk bond market and graduated to "hedge funds". He is a shark who wants to see the housing market collapse so he can make a killing. Listen to the very last part of his rant. It is what he means by letting "successful" people take over the houses.

15. Oh what
total bullshit.

He speaks anything but the truth. But tell me, did he rant on himself when he and the rest of the wall street fucks took their handout from Bush and company? Nah, he stood in line along with the rest of the "losers" who have fucked this country up.

The truth? If that's your idea of truth then perhaps you should break out the dictionary and look up it's meaning.

18. I support anyone losing a house that is in the bottom 20% of home values
for the city or state. Why? Because anyone else could have easily afforded a cheaper house, but let greed dictate they should get a more expensive house. My wife and I still live in the same $110,000 house we bought 8 years ago. I have managed to save up more than the outstanding balance on the loan and have prepared for the chance we may lose our jobs. On the other hand, I work with people who are fresh out of college, single (so, no dual income) who are buying $250,000 houses. I guarantee they are stretched to the brink and if they lost their job, they would be out of their house in a couple of months. I CANNOT support that kind of irresponsibility.

Thus, I support helping those at the bottom who fought to achieve the American dream of owning their own home, but will not support those who were just greedy and wanted a NICER home.

9. Totally insane, Santelli should be banned from the airwaves.
People at my job are now talking about a Responsible Homeowner revolt where they are trying to get grass roots to not pay their mortgages in April to revolt against the bailout of what they are calling irresponsible homeowners.

I just don't understand any of this anymore. Are we just supposed to stand around and let people fail all around us? or are we supposed to help out our fellow man? Should we let the industries fail or should we find a way to fix it.

I feel terrible that Obama has to deal with all of this leftover Drama. How on earth will we get Health Care and Social Security fixed if we are all mirred in this quicksand...

to making any changes. Obama is, at this time, overwhelmed by just keeping the economy from falling absolutely flat on its face. Meanwhile, the Dow has fallen to a low reached last at some time in 1995. Thank you, Paulson, Bernanke, Greenspan and George W. Bush. Heck of a job, guys.

12. Unfortunate.
I used to think of Santelli as a smart and decent human being.

The only thing I can think of to explain this is he is auditioning for a job with Faux Noise.

I could have paid my neighbor's mortgage for 8 years on what I have lost in equity at this point.

Rick, THOUSANDS of "successful people' are losing their jobs EACH DAY. Many of these 'successful people' who might relocate to another job can't because they're stuck in a house they can't sell.
