1. It's happening in other cities... it is a shame....

our County wants to privitize Fire and EMS. Of course, the former employees can retain their jobs (at half the former wage). Reagonomics... arrrrr

Our CONgress and politicians have sold this country to the highest bidder.

2. i was just talking to my sister about this yesterday

as she lives in batavia. i live nearby. there is an issue with how long it will take for people to get help. last year my sister had a neighbor who had a heart attack. the length of time it takes for an ambulance to get there may be the difference between life and death. batavia just spent A LOT of money redoing main street. they have been talking about redoing another road in batavia. if we can afford to make our streets look pretty, why can we not afford the basics.... like an ambulance service. it's ludicrous!! I am no big fan of batavia, let me tell you. they know how to make anything worse and more expensive!!! I think they need to figure out why everytime they do anything they screw it up more. grr!!!
