Norah interviewing Thune ends up debating him on whether tax rebates are a real stimulus.

4. Wow - the Noron actually prepared for an interview, did research
predicted what the Debtpublican would spout, and countered it with facts - even from a conservative source! It's like she actually put some thought into her job, instead of just letting the conservative talking points wash over her while she smiled and nodded. Amazing. I think I just saw a pig fly.

5. I wish the powers that be
would consider either forcing credit card companies to keep their interest rates, fees and late charges in check with the prime rates. The 24 to 30% interest rate is killing some consumers. Especially young ones in college and so forth. Many didn't know what they were getting into. The other thing might be to give tax deductions on the interest like they used to as they still do for your home loan. That's how some homeowners have managed. Rolled the credit card debt into a second mortgage and gotten a tax break. Non-homeowners don't have the option. Those no tax dodos should push to reinstate deductions for credit card interest for everyone including short-form folks. Just thinkin' on the keyboard.
