1. The "real Press" should not interview him as NEWS!
Laughable that he thinks news agencies used SNL, Daily Show, Colbert, etc. as NEWS in their broadcasts, but yet they use HIM - who the fuck is he? Definitely not NEWS!

2. Several studies have been done showing that TDS and Colbert are more accurate than "the news"
I think it was Univ. Maryland and Annanberg

One showed that people who watch late night TV -Daily Show, Colbert, Dave, Jay, Conan- were more accurately informed than people who just watch the nightly news and 24 hour channels

One study specifically said that the more Fox News a person watched was directly related to how misinformed they were

Ziegler is out pushing a movie so they let him on. The worst part is that in one of the SNL "skits" Fey just read a Palin response verbatim--now THAT is bad. SNL was relevant again for one election simply because they lucked out and Palin looked so remarkably like Tina Fey. Tina Fey DID have an influence on the election but only in highlighting how horrific of a choice Palin was.

4. I had read that about TDS. and Colbert...
accurate but funny! The WHOLE 8 years of dubya was laughable and yet so sad at how he ruined this country!

I wish I had written a book like coulter against the "other side" and see if I could get the press coverage with so much hate and vile words - now I guess I should plan a movie about how the main stream media favors THEM over US!

8. Exactly

The media study shows that people who watch Colbert and the Daily Show are better informed than people who watch FOX News. The Daily Show and Colbert were at the top, and FOX News was almost dead last, next to last I think.

10. I guess I must be a stupid loser by Republican standards
It seems part of their new offensive is to call us all stupid, and losers. I wonder how that is going to work for them--especially in light of the fact that they don't care much for facts at all.

As to SNL, Colbert, and Stewart, we don't think of it as real news any more that we give this guy any credibility at all. But we do see their parodies as exposing more truth about candidates, and the media itself, than any news program seemed to before MSNBC saw the light in about 2003 or so, and realized it could make a lot of money serving a very underserved market, of liberals, or at the least Democrats.

This guy is just in the game of making money off of a small, super-partisan crowd. Truth is, the media, and most people who saw her ran away from the Republican ticket out of fear. We saw a very old guy who was out of touch, who chose an unknown, and unqualified woman, who was hot, over a lot of more qualified women, and men. We saw that he may die, and leave her in power. That'd scare the shit out of anyone.

3. I felt bad for Norah during that interview
Ziegler always does that, tries to hijack the interview and then evade questions under the guise of "you need to watch the documentary". Norah did a good job considering. I wish someone would ask him about his bullshit "research" that he keeps referencing, since we all know that his "scientific poll" has been criticized by the actual pollsters. His quote to Matt on the Today show says it all. "This is the easiest case in the world to prove...I CAN'T BELIVE THAT I'M the ONLY ONE TRYING TO PROVE IT!" Heh.

5. He's just mad that it's so easy to make fun of his friends.
Where are all the hysterical and wildly popular conservative comedy programs? Hmm? It's because Pukes aren't funny. They're just sad and pathetic.

7. The comedy shows are newsworthy because they parody
the lack of real substance in what is supposed to be the responsible MSM. Ziegler seems to have missed that train. Instead he wants to blame the comedy shows. He is possibly the one who is truly stupid in this conversation. He's doing what O'Reilly does which is to attack the messenger. Whenever the vehicle for change that carries the truth comes along, the right wing wants to derail it as soon as they recognize it. Be it Media Matters or Daily KOS or the comedy shows or Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. The right is desperately clinging to anything and looking more and more foolish as they go.

11. What a tool. And that Washington Post cartoon was soooooo funny, it should have been featured on
Comedy Central. Everyone enjoys a good racist assasination joke.:sarcasm:

13. The regular press is afraid to tell the plain truth
if doing so will expose them to accusations of "liberal media bias." Daily Show and SNL aren't. Sometimes they are more accurate than the news networks.
