For a person like this Mayor to feel so comfortable in sending out jokes like this to a mass audience, they demonstrate that they maintain a lifestyle where not only are they a lifelong racist, but all of their friends and the people they associate with are racists. It is basically a comfort zone where making racist jokes, comments and even having racist discussions are a part of their lives. They can say things out loud like, "Those stupid niggers are taking all of our jobs" and nobody will raise an eyebrow. If anything, one of their friends may join in with "Fucking niggers!". The same thing happened with Michael Richards (a.k.a. Kramer) when he went on his racist outburst yelling "he's a nigger" publicly on the stage. For all of these types of people, using that word is an integral part of their lives. In their circles, everybody feelds the same way. The problem for them is that they sometimes let their guard down in public and get shocked to learn that people do not feel the same way that their circle of friends do. I am pretty confident that there are ALOT of people like this in our society. I guess that we all saw it in the last election when they interviewed people goint to the McCain/Palin rallies. I am still shocked that it did not affect the election. Thrilled beyond belief, but shocked.

3. Okay, so Los Alamitos is only 2 1/2 square miles. He was elected as Mayor in December |
|
Pasted from the artcicle:
He said he and Price are friends and serve together on a community youth board.
"Bottom line is, we laugh at things and I didn't see this in the same light that she did," Grose told the AP. "I'm sorry. It wasn't sent to offend her personally - or anyone - from the standpoint of the African-American race."
Grose, who became mayor in December, said he sent an apology e-mail to Price and her boss and also left her a voicemail apology.
Regardless, Price said it will be difficult for the two to work together.
"Now I am like - wow, is this really how he feels?" Price said.
Los Alamitos is a 2¼-square-mile Orange County city of around 12,000 people. The mayor is elected by fellow members of the five-seat City Council.
