1. FINALLY! Thanks Monkeyman (do you wear a cape?) |

It is so nice to hear someone NOT hold back and do so eloquently. Although I would have preferred him to respond to the Patraeus question like this:
"If your boss told you to say 'The sky is falling' and you had to do this to save your job, would you do it? Maybe I am wrong and he is just an optimist, but he is being an optimist at the cost of American lives. The fact that three former Generals who have no reliance on the kindness of Bush say that the president isn't listening to them should trump, in my humble opinion, anything that Patraeus has to say, considering Bush can make his life difficult and has proven to do just that in the past (Shisenski sp?). Let's talk to him after he retires before we believe ANYTHING that comes out of his mouth. K?"

Votevets,
Jon Soltz was fantastic on MSNBC Dayside. 100 fold better than the other interview I saw him in with that blond war proponent hack. In that prior interview Jon seemed timid, almost ashamed of how he felt and what he wanted to say and therefore over analyzed everything which caused hesitation and tragically allowed that partisan hack to somewhat dominate his expression. I absolutely appreciate Jon's wanting to be gracious and his doing so. That is certainly a virtue, however not at the expense of allowing these gangsters to dominate the message. In this Dayside interview Jon openly expressed himself, which, by god, nothing should prevent him from doing, considering he's an American and considering he fought with his life for the very freedom of expression.
May God Bless you, Jon, and all the rest of you veterans.
I would encourage you to relentlessly drive home the self-evident contradiction of Bush incessantly parroting that he 'listens to the generals on the ground', while so many generals on the ground have said this is a lie. Hold him accountable for his propaganda that allows him to perpetuate this war.
Thank you, Joey LA area
