they're not heads of state like your presidents. Churchill got a state funeral, but that was exceptional; Attlee didn't, nor did Eden or Macmillan or Heath or Wilson or Callaghan. Why Thatcher is supposed to get one, I don't know! Maybe so that everyone will have adequate proof that she's buried suitably deep?

I remember when Margaret Thatcher was in Houston for an economic summit during the ´80´s. She was asked by an eager Houston TV personality how she liked Houston. She replied "ït's hot, it's humid and it's tacky." Gotta love the Brits and their sense of subtlety. She's probably complaining this very moment about the lack of ice-makers in Hell.
