Hattip to crooksandliars for finding this.

I'm pretty indifferent to Dodd and his Presidential campaign. But if he can get it right on this, the others have no excuse

1. Good for him, but he's still the wrong person to be the nominee
Dodd has 32 years of recorded votes in Congress. I don't even want to think about how Karl Rove's stormtroopers could twist that into God knows what in a 30 second ad.

side of the issue. So three cheers for Dodd. I will never again vote for or lend my support to anyone who votes for this spineless treasonous bill and anyone who votes for it will be as dead to me.

5. Dodd don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows
,to quote Bob Dylan. He's read the feelings of the American public. If Obama or Clinton vote yes, there will be a lot of people giving Dodd another look, I predict.

6. I'm betting that all candidate for president who are in the Senate--
--will have the sense to vote against it.

8. Don't bet on it
But you can be sure that this Democrat will cross off his candidate list all -- repeat all -- of those who vote yes and all those not in office who are foolish enough to say that they would have voted yes. As Olberman notes in his special comment, the dems were elected to do one thing. Not so simple, perhaps, but pretty clear. In this they have failed. Whatever comes next is essentially irrelevant, as they will be seen as nothing more than a party of Joe Liebermans, pseudo-Democrats.

12. Voting no isn't enough! See David Sirota's alert
We need to get on the phone and encourage Dodd to filibuster, If we can get through that is. The phone lines are either packed or blocked!:bounce:
