Talks about the Environmental Degredation and Religious Fanatics and the "Generation Gap" of Parents and Kid are ALL ADDRESSED IN THIS very POLITICAL VIDEO! It's a "New Version" of "Plastic Jesus" that reminds me of DEAD Harry Chapin from the late 60's!

It's political ...and a good listen!

"Ain't there NOTHING SACRED ANYMORE! ..We all fell across the Fault Line!...and MORE!

1. "We are a CROSS BETWEEN OUR PARENTS...and the HIPPIES IN THE TENT!"
Goes one to say: "To clean our Dirty Planet!" ...Anyway...you gotta listen to this....

2. I love Jack Johnson.
Thank you for that!

I'll always remember the plastic Jesus song from Imus's morning radio show during my commute to work back around 1979-80.

Despite the fact that Imus has long since fallen from grace, I'll always remember him for the early morning laughs when he played that song and did his Rev. Billy Sol Harkus schtick.

5. Love Patti Smith, was introduced to her music through Ellis Paul. Another
"off artist" I love is Ani DiFranco. You can listen to her do Woodie Guthrie's Do-Re-Me here - http://www.laborheritage.org/laborfestival.htm

Her recital of the poem Self Evident on the Caregie Hall live from 4/02 is chilling. I think this is the first public recital after 9-11 happened.
The words are posted here - http://www.righteousbabe.com/ani/bootleg/carnegie/selfevident.asp
But you've got to hear her read it to fully appreciate it.

Anyway, looks like I'll be adding Jack Johnson to my list.

6. Speaking of Jack...
Check this video out -- one of my favorites:

I like the lyrics in this version much better than the Black Eyed Peas version and having Jack and Ben Harper together just puts it over the top.
