Bill asks Ron Paul why Americans are dumb. Paul says that Republicans have lost their way. Nation-building, Woodrow Wilson and interventionism are all touched upon.

Here's the tags and sorry for that last screwup....
Michael Moore coming next...

1. Wow, that was fast!
Ron Paul had a cheer section in the audience. It was pretty funny! :-)

5. He is a weird kind of conservative
He is kind of pro-life, but says that federal government cannot interfere in reproductive issues.

Same with a drug war. Up to the states. CA can legalize marijuana, while Utah can make it illegal. Again, not a federal issue.

He is pro free trade, but against WTO, NAFTA, etc.

Corporations: fewer regulations, but no subsidies of any kinds and remove immunity from being sued for pollution

Repeal income tax, increase corporate income tax.

It seems that he is half and half. Some position makes him a darling in repug party, on some he seems to be aligned with democrats

7. Here Ron Paul is again w/ Maher on 03/30/07
Note that Maher was less enthusiastic a couple months ago.

I don't know how to embed a video so you'll have to go to the youtube link:

8. Ron Paul is proof that the corporate world is fed up with Bush and his war for oil
A couple of years ago, Ron Paul would have been muzzled. Now, he is being used to shame the GOP into changing its priorities.

He is absolutely correct when he says that the peace candidate always wins. Let's hope that whatever idiot the GOP nominates continues to wave the flag for the Iraq War all the way up to the Republican Convention, because then it will be too late to disavow a pro-war stance and that one policy will shoot down the GOP presidential candidate.
