Whenever anyone experiences progress first hand and doesn't understand it, or if it offends their previous conceptions they've grown complacent with, they rush to anger and intolerance.
I didn't like how they criticized some of Obama's advisor's on the bailout because I believed they were hindering what little progress Obama was going to make. The truth is, he's just another Clinton, a Republican in democratic clothing, one who caters to big business before the American people. The bill to rein in the credit card companies is bull shit (it doesn't even address interest rates), TARP is still unregulated, there's been NO new legislation reinstating Glass-Steagal.
All this administration is doing is pumping blood into someone who is critically injured while letting the wounds go unchecked to continue to bleed.

4. So she says "war criminal!" and gets hauled off...for what? |
|
If she was applauding him (un-sarcastically) and shouting how much of a hero he is, the police would never have even touched her.

even though it took longer than we wanted it was demonstrations and protesting much like what code pink is doing that ended the Vietnam "Conflict". He is a war criminal and we are not shouting it loud or often enough.

One of the main reasons I voted for Obama is that he promised a quick end to the Iraq war. At one point he said he would bring the troops home within 6 months. I was disappointed to hear that we’ll be over there until 2011. Obama disagreed with the war before we went over there, but he is a realist about the situation. To be honest I don’t think that any protests at this time are going to bring an end to the Iraq war. However, I believe it is better to hold organized and CIVIL protests. I thought the “die-ins” were creative. Reminding people of the number of troops that have died in this pointless war is another way to drive our point home. I think the psycho in the video link just made herself look like a child. Calling your adversaries names and yelling at them is immature, and it’s hard to take such people seriously. I agree with code-pinks ultimate goal, but I think their approach is too extreme. For example, I remember one woman approaching Condoleeza Rice with bloody hands screaming war criminal. What did that solve? Thanks for your sincere response. I’ll see you around. :hi:

You said, "Reminding people of the number of troops that have died in this pointless war is another way to drive our point home".
That's what she was doing by yelling "childishly" at a war criminal.
"Reminding people of the number of troops that have died in this pointless war is another way to drive our point home"
That's what one woman who approached Condoleeza Rice with bloody hands was doing.
One man's civil protest is another man's "childishness" and "extremism".
When I saw the this and other woman with "bloody" hands I was forced to speculate the perceptions other than the ones I had become complacent with, and you know what? There are millions just like me. THAT'S what is solved :-)
