1. She is shallow and lazy. |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-08-09 09:19 AM by madaboutharry
The very fact that she was the Vice-Presidential nominee and didn't even bother to learn how the executive branch of government operates is absolutely a disqualifier.
The very fact that she believes she still has standing "to look at all of her options" is testimony to her delusional self-evaluation. It is also testimony to her "Queen Bee" status within her own family and circle of personal contacts. No one has ever taken her aside and told her the truth about herself.

4. She will single-handedly destroy the Republican party |
|
The schism is already underway. Can you imagine a three-way Presidential race with Obama, Palin, and Romney? It'd be a thing of beauty.

5. I should stop being surprised by Sarah Palin's sheer stupidity |
|
and laziness (like the previous post said) and I think too that is what it comes down to. It is lazy pure and simple, she doesn't care to be informed and she has the support of people who excuse it because they are like her, they too don't feel entirely compelled to be informed. It is totally scary how close she came to the White House. John McCain should be ashamed of himself.

You forget he was #895 in his class -- he's monumentally stupid too. I think he picked her so he would look smart. And when you are that dumb, you need to troll for people who took 5 years and 5 colleges to get a scape out a B.A.

7. This couldn't be allowed to pass |
|
The ringing sound we heard during her presser Friday was the alarm clock drawing Ms. Palin's fifteen minutes to a close.
Nevertheless, this remark couldn't be allowed to pass. The full phrase that needs to be emphasized is Department of law in the White House. It shows that Ms. Plain had swallowed the "theory" that there is invisible ink in the Constitution that only the likes of David Addington, Dick Cheney and Alberto Gonzales could read; moreover, the effect of what was written by the Founding Fathers in invisible ink is to make the President a dictator limited only by a quadrennial plebiscite.

12. What everyone so far has missed, is the "folks" as O'reilley calls them.......... |
|
...........wouldn't know that there is NO Dept of law. Stop and think about it, there are a lot of uninformed morons that because the "liberal" media is picking on her for saying that (which sounds completely reasonable to them) will support her even more. I have finally after years and years of trying to understand these idiots that if O'reilley or Hannity or Limbaugh says it's raining our when it really isn't and Gibson or Couric say no it's not, go outside and look, they will still NOT believe their own lying eyes. Education is the ONLY thing that is going to stop or at least slow this crazy shit.

17. That is just further evidence of what the GOP has become post-Bush |
|
It's a fringe party attracting ideologues who think that if a leader's mind is "right" (by their idea of right), he or she will be an outstanding leader, regardless of what actual leadership qualities, if any, the leader possesses.
These are the same people who still believe that Gee Dubya was a great president. They believe it for precisely the reasons he was not: Bush attempted to be president of only those who voted from him, which was about half the voters at most, and told all others to get fucked.

16. Cenk's closing remark |
|
"It doesn't get any dumber than that."
Oh ye of little faith, Cenk! Of course it does! Just wait another week or so and Bible Spice will be up on a stage in front of her followers doing moose calls and goose honks and they will be going wild! You can't underestimate the bottomless stupidity of Sarah and her fan club.
Department of Law. Oh... my... god.

19. OK - Here's the Freeper spin |
|
They are saying the it's another example of biased media attacks because... get this...
Alaska has A DEPARTMENT of LAW.
You Betcha!
Do I even need to start on the problems with this lame response? OK, I'll start.
Look at Palin's quote:
"I think on a national level, your department of law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we've been charged with and automatically throw them out,"
She's not talking about Alaska. She thinks that UNLIKE Alaska, the White House has a "Department of Law" that disposes of those nasty ethics complaints so her family doesn't have to worry about them.
How does the Department of Law "automatically throw them out". Is there a Scandal-Be-Gone" spray?
What does she think the "Department of Law" does in her state?
Who does she think appoints the White House Department of Law Czar?
