One of the few things I agree with DeMint on!

(Dennis Kucinich, Bernie Sanders, Pete Stark, and Alan Grayson also support auditing the Fed)

9. .
stop seeing it as us versus them. we good, Republicans bad. it is a stupid perspective.

this bill only has a chance when the public put serious pressure on their representatives because of the lobbying done by wall street and the fed to keep the status quo. this appears to be the right moment for this bill (would certainly not have got through during the fear mongering done by the Bush administration about the end of the economic world).

but still, your silly ying yang attitude is childish.

13. Ron Paul has been working on it since the 70s.
I disagree with Paul on many issues, but on the Wars and on the Fed, he's been solid.

3. Former Texas Congressman Henry Gonzales pushed for Fed audits on the House floor several times
but got nowhere.

The Fed needs to be exposed so people can see what underworld activities they've funded over the years. It's only common sense that you keep something that has this much power over our economy as open as possible.

4. It has to happen, which is why they will fight it tooth and nail
Even so far as to invoke the Patriot Act in the name of National Security.

While I think Glenn Beck is a loon, the message here is straightforward and clear.

More damaging words have been spoken about the Federal Reserve over the history of its existance than and other branch of Government, but of course, the Fed is not part of the Government, but just another Mega Corporation that has been granted the privilege of Counterfeiting money, that has absolutely nothing backing it up.

10. I agree
Our nation has a long history of fighting against Central Banks. It's about time we undid Wilson's biggest mistake.

Only congress can lawfully print money. Read the constitution. Our founding fathers knew that Bank created debt money was a surefire way to destroy a free nation.

12. I was surprised it took Kucinich so long to get onboard, while doing his own bill.

I wonder how many Representatives over the last 100 years have tried to do something about the Fed.

Or is it something that comes up during depressions/recessions like this McFadden ?

14. Kucinich's signature was held back intentionally.
His signature was the one which gave the bill majority support in the House. This was planned in advance.

There should be no more secrecy in government than necessary. I can't think of a single reason why the Fed shouldn't be audited like any other department.
