1. Ya, thanks Davy. Ya got 76% of the GOP saying they would vot e for Palin for President. Thanks....
Oh come on. All Letterman is doing is making Palin look like a woman under attack. GET OFF HER CASE! The % that say the would vote for her is becoming directly inversely proportional to these stupid attacks!

2. 75% of idiot GOP would say that no matter what Letterman does.
Edited on Wed Jul-08-09 09:33 PM by Hissyspit
Most of them are lying anyway.

Post showing most Americans would NOT vote her. So, yes, please, let her be the future of the Republican party.

5. I didn't say Pollsters are lying. I said people are lying to the pollsters.
Edited on Wed Jul-08-09 09:35 PM by Hissyspit
They are just showing sympathy for their candidate. Even if they aren't, GOP is in minority. Palin doesn't have a chance in hell of being president.

7. Ahhhh, I get it, Dems polled are LYING and say the support the GOP.
For what reason I cannot fathom, but I understand you belive people are LYING to the pollsters. So we must have Dems LYING about who they support and Repubs doing exactly what?

Sheese.

10. ???
You only quoted statistics about Republicans and what they told pollsters. I was talking about what Republicans were saying because that's what YOU brought up. What are you going on about?

They don't even have to actually be lying. They can actually believe what they are saying. The point is this is a sympathy response. 2012 is a long way away. Sarah Palin will continue to self-destruct.

4. yeah and Tina Fey helped palin, too. ? I'm confused.
Letterman's ratings have gone up since he started waring with palin. If she was popular amongst the general population and not just republicans (there are much less republicans out there than there were 2 years ago), Letterman's ratings would be tanking.

9. Nice try, How many more CONSERVATIVES are there than there were two years ago?
Defining Conservatives as Republicans is a big mistake.

You see, most republicans are conservatives but not all conservatives are REPUBLICANS and last poll we had out just a few days ago showed once again that conservatives outnumber liberals two to one.

21. "conservatives outnumber liberals two to one"?
Sorry, no. People who say they are conservative outnumber people who say they are liberal two to one. After decades of right-wingers turning "liberal" into a dirty word, how many people do you think are going to admit to being one? (Try the same poll with "progressive" vs. "republican" and see what you get!)

In any case, the real indicator is the public's position on the issues rather than on ambiguous labels framed by right-wingers. Here we find the public favoring the liberal policy over the conservative one in every single policy area: taxes, war, gay rights, the environment - every policy area!

The poll you cite is meaningless. You will get a lot more traction with your false conclusion on Free Republic, which you might want to consider returning to.

15. If a majority of a dying party back her
is just more evidence that the GOP is is shooting for super-minority status. Democrats and Independents can't stop laughing at them.
