1. Obama is a pragmatic man

As in "But Brutus is an honorable man."

I am reminded of Barry Goldwater's quote, "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue."

Pragmatism might get him reelected, but it is not the honorable thing. It is not the virtuous thing. It is not the American way.

And did you see Tenet's face when asked if anyone had died while using those "enhanced interrogation methods"? He was lying - big time, you could see it in his face.

9. Videos posted to youtube more than 24-48 hours ago are not considered

for the front page, at least that is what I remember reading.

I used the Left side of the GP as my main filter and place holder, but that function has been diminished under the new system. Not too many used in that way I guess... and it has improved a bit.

which Was a combination of the latest/greatest threads from any forum (that you could rec) placed in chronological order of when they hit the GP.

You could come back the next day or hours later and easily scan through the left side for the latest/greatest of the past several hours and then pick up where you left off from your last visit. If time allowed then you could visit other forums, but this was a quick and efficient use of the left side of the GP...IMHO.

11. Can't recommend it anymore, but I'll kick it!

Although I have no hopes or illusions anymore about possible future prosecutions of Rice, Rumsfeld, Rove, Gonzales, Cheney and Bush. Obama even hired one of their accomplices to stay on as Secretary of Defense!
