Junyer was a false front, like arnie reagan was, and needed to hide the real ugly agenda behind. A politics sorta like selling smack to junkies, with the dope dressed up nice, and reagan dealer depicted as a good honest guy etc. To control the news, control the debate, is easy- just ignore the majority no matter how large! Our society is thus tied up in knots, we murder god-knows how many people, creates ficticious history that serves our selves, and still calls ourself Christian, which implies a basic innocence, which no truth can ever refute, no matter how well documented. For example, the A bomb was used on Japanese cities AFTER Japan tried to surrender (a telegram from Hirohito to Truman pleading for US to accept the surrender exists, dated one month before the Aug8/45 nuking of Hiroshima; it is well known and is mentioned by Gore Vidal in his book 'blood and oil..etc') and no matter the truth, most people still say the nuking was necessary to save lives. That's kinda evil, when you think of it...Truman was a war criminal. All our leaders are basically criminals. The systemic defrauding of the populace makes that normal.
