Ok, not technically about politics, but he is a booze-swilling political pundit, so here is a bit of fun for Friday. -WB

2. Hitchens knows of what he speaks.
JWB may not be the absolute best blend in the world, but it is what you can literally get anywhere in the world. It's more common than potable water. If you find in a place that doesn't have it, you don't want to be there.

3. I wonder if Hitchens has tried Suntory's line of whiskeys.
Japanese brewing & distilling company Suntory makes a great array of whiskeys, blended and unblended. The Yamazaki distillery has to make some of the smoothest single malts in existence.

4. I'm more of a bourbon man
but so far so as scotch goes, I would have chosen The Famous Grouse.

5. I was hoping he would mention Jameson's
but my Irish roots probably make me biased.

7. Yeah, I think that's pretty biased
I drink Jamesons too, but only because of the tongue lashing I got in Ireland when I ordered Bushmills. According to my bartender, Bushmills 'won't employ Catholics' so now I drink the inferior product. Since you are not constrained by the heresay toungue lashing I received, give Bushmills a try. It's much better.

8. A couple mornings each week Hitchens should do the first hour of "Morning Joe."
He and Mika could finish the bottle together. Call it the "End of the Bender" segment.
