She doesn't like his answer, so she forces him to lead in the "Pledge of Allegiance" :patriot:

Plus she's got a birth certificate from the "United States of America" - I want one of those

1. He's got an 'R' after his name, so he's beholden to these crazies
He can either pander to these woo woos or tell them to grow up; it looks like they're about 40-50 years past adolescence, after all.

2. Self- righteous, censorious... psychotic. Welcome to the new GOP
As Sinclair Lewis put it: "When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross".

These dead-enders are really quite mad and could justify any kind of politicla violence.

9. The GOP is downsizing to focus on their core competency
Or to put it another way, the sane ones have already left.

Sarah Palin would do great if there were about 100,000,000 of these people. Let's hope she stays around to keep them inspired. When birthers and teabaggers are the most public face of the party, that can't be a bad thing.

37. Delaware only has one district.
We're small, but we still produce plenty of nutz.

I believe this is the CHEER center in Georgetown. The local wingnut FM radio station (the most popular station in lower/slower) has been prepping people for a while about this meeting and encouraging people to make it hard for Castle because he voted for the energy bill. They (the radio station) were already as far right as I thought they could go, but they took a headlong plunge into insanity after the election. There is routinely coded talk about taking up arms to take back their country.

Some of these people are dangerous.

41. Thanks, I didn't know that about the one district
I agree with you on the danger. I think we're not fully recognizing what's going on with the right at this point. These relatively moderate right wing nutjob groups, like Birthers and Teabaggers, are becoming increasingly enmeshed with the most extreme and violent right wing nutjob groups. We need to be vigilant even while laughing in their faces.

8. What a loon. She says "He is a citizen of Kenya," yet has she seen a Kenyan birth certificate?
In short, she's NOT willing to believe the certficate she's seen for Obama is real, yet she believes wholeheartedly in the existence of one she has NEVER seen. And people like this claim they will be persuaded only by empirical evidence. Yeah...

Of course, what it's really all about is summed up in her wail "I want my country back!" Translation: "I am WHITE, and if someone who's not 100% white is the president of my country, it's not MY country anymore."

Racist loon.

21. Racist loon (psychotic nut)
You hit the nail on the head. SHE wants her WHITE country back. Well she can go play stinky finger....citizens of the United States ELECTED our president, just because HE doesn't fit HER standards (that being old, white and republican) maybe she should pack her white shit up and move to a country more befitting to her. My dad fought in world war two, my uncle gave his life in viet nam, I had three brother-in-laws serve in viet nam, 2 nephews now serving in the military with one in the first marine unit that invaded Iraq and doing THREE tours there. So, psycho lady, your move.

I have never wanted to reach into my computer screen and hit someone more then I wanted to smack that stupid bitch.

12. It just takes a tiny amount of common sense...
Why don't these birthers use common sense? In the 2+ years Obama was running for POTUS, Bush & Cheney had control of the CIA, FBI, and over a dozen other intelligence agencies. If he wasn't born in the US, they had plenty of time and resources to find out for their party. It's common sense! If there was any evidence he isn't a citizen, he wouldn't be president! Even the ultra-conservative website WorldNetDaily has confirmed the authenticity of Obama's birth certificate! These folks need to turn off right-wing radio!

30. Their "logic" will lead them further in the political wilderness
The birther theories play very well with the far right wing of the party and kneejerk liberals waiting to rail against anything the far far right does or says. The birther's paranoid ramblings have no effect on the the electorate at large and only serves to drive potential independent and moderate Republicans from the fold. My suggestion is to not take them so seriously because no one else does.

23. This Is Funny
I first thought she was a 'lifer' (ie. 'pro-life') then realized she was spouting about the President's birth certificate. Then I realized, she and all the dumb apes clapping along with her were probably that by default anyway. Heh.

But seriously. This is a direct result of the Hannity revival of this bullshit topic settled long ago by the non-partisan website that looked into it thoroughly. There is a certificate properly done, with a raised stamp on it also.

It's in Hawaii. You could bring every one of these backwards idiots there to look at it and they'd still doubt it. You could take them on a time-machine to his mothers delivery, and they'd question the validity of the emerging infant.

I've got issues with some things the President has done since in office, and some things are great. I'm being objective. They lack that ability. They paw for any pathetic thing to find to try and justify their hatred of this President.

What a bunch of losers. We shall overcome..even with a screwy 25-45% of the nation so f*cked in the head.

They've been fucked over for the last 30 years and never knew it. A black man now in office has shocked them into consciousness, they've decided that's to blame, and they're now channelling their rage. Unfortunately they dredged up their inner racist as well.

32. Here's the thing, when a child is born and one of the parents is
Edited on Sun Jul-19-09 04:18 PM by syberlion
an American citizen, They are by rights automatically an American citizen. When Obama was born, Kenya was a British Colony. So, for a brief time he held dual American/British citizenship. When Kenya gained its independence in 1963, their laws allowed for a child to maintain dual citizenship until the age of 21. At that time they have a choice, to renounce any other country and swear their allegiance to Kenya. This information was obtained at factcheck.org. This action did not occur and there is no record of such an occurrence and, as stated in an earlier post, with Cheney in charge that would have been broadcast 24/7 on every republican, corporately owned media outlet. Why no one points out the fact that his mother was an American and Caucasian just makes me scratch my head. That is the very first thing I point out when people I talk to start in on the birth certificate. That is beside the point, his mother was an American, by rights that automatically makes him an American, end of discussion.

What is frightening is how much work we as a nation have in front of us. Watching this video underscores the absolute projection of fanaticism we have in this country. All this "look at those terrorist, look at those fanatical, radicals over there in the Middle East..." As an old saying goes, "anytime you point a finger, just remember there are three pointing right back at you." These local radical right-wing fanatics have done a lot of finger pointing...

We have to work on the enemies within our borders before we work on far away enemies. These local fanatics are the true danger in this country. It will be an internal un-American, right-wing terrorist person, group, or full-fledged organization that will attempt to bring down this nation. We must be vigilant and we must not shirk our patriotic duty.

*edited for clarity

Now they have to sleep with them! McCain and Palin brought forth these wing nuts with the help of Fox News, Hannity, Limbaugh, Bill-O the clown, Ann Coulter, Savage, Ingram, and the rest. I am embarrassed where America has gone in the last 8 years..people like this are the residual. I hope this drives the GOP further into the dirt.

42. It's time to 'fess up, guys.
Maybe we should just admit that we photoshopped the picture of the birth certificate. That we forged the document so it could stand up to further scrutiny. That we faked the newspaper announncements from 1961 Hawaii.

Face it, guys. They caught us. Obama's not a citizen of the USA. He's not even a real person. He's a digital construct like that movie Simone. Now that we've got Obama in office, we can make him step down and finally, the pinnacle of our master plan, President Joe Biden and Vice President Barney Frank.
