Charlie Rangel does a fine job here making Hatch and Smith look like tools.

1. Wow. Smith really loves tossing out the GOP red-meat talking points.

2. It was perfectly obvious.
Smith's goal was to emphasize the small business tax increase claims and overall costs. It was a clear RW talking point. As always, the MSM presents the GOP side with vigor.

3. Rangle beat Hatch in this debate.
Rangle used facts while Hatch used lies.

5. I can't help myself.
I also watched Gregory try unsuccessfully to beat up Kathleen Sebellius and in the very next segment spent his time playing fluffer to Mitch McConnell. Ms. Sebellius was not allowed to finish her answers while Senator Minority Leader got nods of respect and admiration.

:puke:

7. Wait . . . there was something important in that ...
but .. who's Gregory . . . who's Smith . . .?

Anyway . . . meanwhile, when I watched it -- which is unusual for me to do with videos --
I did notice that Orrin Hatch was going for the medical care disconnect that the GOP gave
PBS and that the Federal Reserve represents . . .
i.e., put a special consulting/controlling committee over it --

The decisions the Fed makes are on our economy are political and decisions which Congress
should be making. Those decisions are the kind of stuff on which Congress should be getting
re-elected or un-elected.

Same with PBS . . . the Corporation for Public Broadcasting was a disconnect for PBS to make
it's own decisions and/or to handle its own funds! How many people knew/know that?

If we let them do the same crap with anything else, we're nuts --
especially in regard to Medicare/Medicaid spending.

Let me ask you this question cause I don't know the answer to it --
OBAMA is trying to cut $313 BILLION from Medicare. If he saves that much money, where does
it go? Do people paying into Medicare get it back? Does it go into Medicaid?
Or does it get scooped up like Social Security surplusses have been getting scooped up
for wars and tax cuts for the rich?
SS runs a $250 BILLION surplus every year . . . which is contantly taken. That was intended
to cover the boomers -- a fat lie -- but nonetheless, if it can be borrowed then we should
simply cut this program which is raising such a huge surpluss -- SS was never intended to
raise a surplus at all -- it's a pay-as-you-go system -- and cut the FICA rate.

That increased burden came onto the shoulders of the poor and middle class and that higher
rate should be reversed.

And we should fight to make sure that Congress makes the political decisions . . . whether
economical or in regard to public broadcasting -- or medical coverage.

When Hatch said that my first thought was we should have a panel over the health care benefits
we pay for Congress!! Some healthy cuts on their care would probably be a good idea!

Kathleen Sebellius answers your question about where the savings will go much better than I could. (I'll try to post the video of that when I find it.)

9. No . . . these are "cuts" to the program . . . which will change the program . . .
NOT "savings" . . .

Have to come back later -- don't have time for another video right now!!
