Wall Street always reacts positively to negative news. This isn't a new phenomena, its how the system has always worked. Still, the GOP is trying to say that the market's uptick and rising unemployment are signs that Obama is losing his grip on the economy. Mike Papantonio of Air America's Ring of Fire appears on "Cavuto" to set the record straight.

These analysts pay a lot of attention to Consumer Confidence indexes, employment rates, consumer debt levels, spending habits, etc. If it's bad for Americans it is bad for Wall Street too. For most industries at least...

8. Oh, I know - it doesn't make any sense, but that's how it is.

Whenever a company announces layoffs, the stock goes up. You would THINK that would indicate the company is in trouble and the stock should be less valuable, but no - it means BUY the stock. Go figure.
