Solar Eclipses And Human Magical Thinking Systems

The human mind is alway prey to deep interior impulses we can’t consciously control, this being due to the operative parts are also the deepest and oldest parts or our brains. We see this during the recent major solar eclipse that appeared in Asia yesterday. Also, the first vaccine tests for the latest form of swine flu are now beginning in Australia. So far, despite the hysterical fears of some parts of the internet, none of the people getting these shots are dropping dead. Imagine that.

1. Dumbass doesn't realize that any court in the land would accept
as proof of Obama's birth in the US that certified copy of his birth record that I have seen actual photos of right here. Complete with fold, visible embossing, and certificate number.

Guy is so stoopid he needs to just kill himself.

52 percent of U.S. soldiers wounded in Iraq, Afghanistan diagnosed with TBI

WASHINGTON -- Some 52 percent of soldiers severely injured in Iraq and Afghanistan who have come to the U.S. Army's largest hospital for treatment have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), an internal study has found.

The results of the study, carried out by Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, also showed a steep increase -- from 33 percent -- in TBI cases since the end of 2008.

Diagnoses of TBI are rising steadily as arrangements for TBI checks improve, while at the same time improvised explosive device (IED) attacks -- the primary cause of TBI -- in Afghanistan are intensifying, with 46 U.S. soldiers killed by the homemade bombs so far this year. Casualties from these attacks flow into Walter Reed, which provides treatment to badly wounded soldiers unavailable anywhere else.

According to DVBIC at Walter Reed, since January 2003 -- just before the beginning of the Iraq War -- 52 percent of soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan by bombs and treated at the hospital have been diagnosed with TBI. According to figures uncovered by the Mainichi, this would mean the number of diagnosed TBI cases has risen to well over 10,000 since the end of 2008, when the figure stood around 9,100. Furthermore, in more than 90 percent of those diagnosed with TBI, the patient had no visible head injuries.

On the battlefield, TBI is caused by the supersonic shockwave produced by an explosion -- often from an IED -- which damages or destroys brain cells. A soldier caught in the blast may not even know he or she has been injured.

The U.S. Department of Defense began conducting cognitive ability tests on all military personnel to be deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan in November 2007. The servicemen and women who took the tests began returning from their combat tours early this year, allowing for greater chances of discovering a TBI and probably leading to the increased numbers of diagnosed cases.

The Department of Defense estimated in March this year that the final tally of TBI cases would reach 10 to 20 percent of all personnel deployed to Iraqi and Afghani battlefields.

5. They just sound really corny and how much more powerful does 'President Barack Hussein Obama' sound
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 02:53 PM by GivePeaceAchance
now, that's gravitas for you. They got nothing their issues are nothing, the amount of attention they deserve is nothing till they comprehend he is the most popular leader in history and help try fix he nation. Will they ever comprehend how much their lives were jepordy under the last wrecking crew. It would of been a depression no coming back from. There's a huge contradiction of their zero health reform and President Obama's public option that is in the cause of holding back things like swine flu for that reason alone they should fully be behind it. If their proud of their nation then they should be proud in how in a matter of months President Obama put America back on the map and work to make his presidency historic in its success if it truly is country first. What on earth is their objective if in the worlds eyes America has in electing Obama taking one giant leap equality, no nation will applaud one giant leap backwards. They are so... :wtf:

9. what about the papers that reported the birth in Hawaii AT THE TIME
I wish someone from FOX who wants to at least show some credibility as a journalist would fly to Hawaii and document a microfilm search of papers from the day to show that these facts are just that - facts.

Sorry if those are larger than I hoped - but wanted to include the context.

11. just a thought as well - maybe they can contact those others born that day and see if they

happen to have an original clipping of that day's birth announcements in their baby books. It is not uncommon and that would be the proof in actual evidence that actually might make these idiots look like the foolish mortals they be. It doesn't matter whether you change the minds of the idiots - you just have to make the idiots ring true to their message which is obviously still making the news stations sit up and take notice.

Are there no reporters in Hawaii doing any follow-up?

15. Uh, Last I Checked...
No court in the land accepts bare, unfounded allegations as proof that a certified birth certificate is not authentic.

That may sound defensive, but ya know what? Last I checked, we have this presumption of innocence thing. If birthers have some sort of ACTUAL amazing evidence (not whining and speculation) then they're the ones who have to put up their evidence or shut up, not President Obama or anyone else. (Then again, I wouldn't expect people this angry and naive to understand how the judicial system works...or how reality works for that matter.)

Just said on Tweety's show that they (the Birthers) have a signed affidavit from Obama's step Grandma in Kenya. Now that's proof. :sarcasm:

16. three minutes
Three minutes of my life gone, never to be recovered.

As to the swine flu vaccine, I didn't hang in there for whatever he said about that, but as a flaming liberal sane Democrat having gotten neurological damage from my first flu shot last fall, I will never again get a vaccination against anything. My neurologist says he sees numerous people who have that type of problem.

Those of us who have damage from vaccines are just road kill as far as the medical profession is concerned. They never talk about that possibility when they are advocating everyone run out and get vaccinated.

18. I'll say it again does anyone doubt the Mormons saw, handled or verified..
the Presidents birth certificate in preparing his genealogical history. They came up with a five volume history. Genealogy is one of the things they do, and do well.

19. Lawsuit filed by Taitz
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 07:15 PM by billh58
Taitz, who has challenged the legitimacy of Obama's presidency in other courts, asked the court to consider granting her client's request based upon Cook's belief that Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and therefore ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.

And, to further prove that this "lawsuit" was a sham for the sake of further publicity, Cook did not even need to go to court to get out of his volunteer deployment:

Incidentally, Cook did not have to hire a lawyer to refuse his orders to go to Afghanistan. As a reserve soldier and volunteer, he has the right to revoke his deployment orders. - (I presume that this is because he also filed for status as a "conscientious objector.")
