Peter Heller spent 2 months in 2005 on a voyage with Sea Shepherd, an organization that protects sea life by going after poachers, illegal fishing, illegal whaling, and bringing to light cruelty and slaughter of marine life through the media. Heller wrote "The Whale Warriors", which details his adventures and brings environmental issues to the forefront.
