This is a great talk about how the business community is and can come together to lead the way to a better future in regards to calling for limits on greenhouse gas emissions.

1. Hmmmm, no comments?
You mean there was finally an Al Gore thread that didn't elicit tons of comments?... oh, but then, it wasn't about the past, NAFTA, Lieberman, or "run al run." It was actually about the present and a topic of grave importance to our future. I guess that explains it then. :sarcasm:

And if it isn't true, where is your take on the content of the video?

5. Jesus, why so angry?
I added my comment before I even saw your "challenge". Take it easy, pal.

7. Where do you see anger?
I see a comment typed out with a sarcasm icon. Why are you projecting? And what if I am angry? What if seeing this topic and his work on it basically IGNORED for the most part by a blogosphere that claims to care about this issue makes me angry? Are you stating that I don't have the right to some righteous indignation regarding a crisis that is crucial to our survival?

6. I suspect many people find what Al is saying to be
complete and relatively uncontroversial to them. No need to comment on something that stands well on its own. I do notice it is getting recommendations.

4. That was a great presentation. Thanks for posting it.
I love the way that Gore keeps emphasizing the importance of taking this issue out of the political (partisan) realm. That's going to be hugely important going forward if we hope to make some changes to our fossil fuel use.

8. Yes, not making it or his environmental work political is going to go a long way
And GE is taking the lead. So just as much as we rightfully condemn companies like EXXON, we should applaud companies like GE who are taking responsibility in taking action regarding GHG emissions. For it will be through businesses and other organizations also being able to mobilize people to push governments that we will see progress and hopefully before it is too late. That tipping point is closer every day we sit and wait.
